    I’ve had a 2010 puma 110, 2006 130, 2002 130 and currently have a 2006 110; they all had the same diffs.

I thought all Defenders post tdi’s w Sals, had ‘Rover’ diffs?
    Is this not the case?
D90s had rover diffs front and rear
D110/130 from County to facelift 2002 had the sals rear. From facelift 2002 D110/130 got the P38 short nose rear diff. There was no hard line for the change from sals to P38 in 2002 and there are examples of TD5s with a sals post 2002. Like everything LR, they used parts until the bin was empty. Or like me, swapped a Sals under a late TD5 or Puma just because they want a sals.

    Thanks Tins
I attempt to buy quality whenever possible, however sometimes wet feet in a pair of boots is better than no boots at all…….

After a new clutch inc master and slave plus a few other bits and pieces, I can’t drop $900 on axles atm.
    Not grumbling

‘We ad to walk to school on our ‘ands, so’s not to wear out our shoes.’
    ‘Shoes!?!’
    ‘Luxury………..’
    Etc

For what it is worth, my son's 2003 Defender 90 TD5 has solid rear axles and of course the Rover rear diff.
He hasn't managed to mangle it ......yet.
