Mine doesn't use brackets at all, It just has bolts through the "shelf" into the capping on the tub. Just 1 M8 bolt in each corner. Might sound inadequate, but has been like that for the last 400,000km. Was fitted by British Off Road.
Cheers, Mick.
Does anyone have the original tourertop fiberglass canopy for their defender 130? I picked one up but it didn't have the brackets/clamps that hold it to the tray. I'm trying to work out what clamps will work with it because the inside 'shelf' on the canopy is a fair bit wider than the top of the tub so it overhangs inside by about 50mm. The brackets on my amarok tub definitely wouldn't work. At the moment it's just screwed down with some right angle I had in the shed but I want to fit it properly with a new seal.
Pics of the brackets would be great, if someone knows which ones work and where to buy them even better. Can't find much on the old tourertop canopies online, everything is just the new stuff.
If I can't find something that works properly I might just run square tube along the inside of the tub and use the universal brackets you can buy on ebay.
Cheers,
Adam

My canopy (and also than on my previous ute) have both been held on my 4 or 6 bolts, as described by Killer and it has never been a problem.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
