SupporterCar is running very well averaging 8 litres to the 100, but I have noticed that when I use the aircon I can smell coolant, I was informed the car has had the air conditioning system worked on, it has a new compressor and internal components. I hope it is from the work performed on the system perhaps some coolant spilled on the heater core during the work. Are these cars known to have heater core issues, hoping to hear your feedback.

If its a Defender TDCi (2007 - 2016, puma) then they are not known for heater cores failing (evaporator) , but i have had a few that the core was blocked and had to be replaced.
other more common but not in numbers to be bothered...
*leaking joint on hose from compressor.
*leaking joint on small manifold behind engine ecu on firewall.
*leaking condenser.
*failed compressor.
