    Dash replacement

The instrument cluster in my puma defender is cracked. Can I replace the cluster panel with one from a disco 3? Will the electric bits simply swap over? Looks very similar… I may have access to a new unit and was wondering if it is a simple plug in and go option.

straight off the bat, no, i did read something somewhere where someone was doing just this.

*keep in mind the IP cluster on a D3 / D4 are far more prone to failure than a TDCi
*if yours is a 2.2 just plug in another Defender IP.
*if a 2.4 you need to re-initialise the the sync between the ecu and imobi, or by-pass the signal wire so its the same as a 2.2
