    G'day Didge,

Yes unfortunately. They need to comply with ADR10 and also ADR69. The only steering wheels that I have found here are SAAS that are ADR10 compliant. But then we can't get over ADR69

This is an excerpt from VSB 14, 4.9:

"for vehicles required to comply with ADR 69, the steering wheel assembly must be identical to one fitted as an option to the same model by the vehicle manufacturer, or alternatively, a steering wheel that has been certified by the replacement wheel manufacturer as a complying wheel for the specific make and model may be used." Which basically means it has to have a crash pad!

Momo wheels, some of their range is TUV certified which is the European testing organisation. TUV translates as 'Technical Inspection Association' but that doesn't count here according to RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) technical department.

I think in Victoria and Qld you are also restricted that you can't reduce by any more than 25mm from standard.

Very nice 110! Love the more traditional colors and the white roof, which is IMO so much more practical in Australia than the darker colors like my own Stornoway Grey and the black SVX and LE ones... (very handsome, but not that practical!)

Looking forward to pictures of your "individualisation"!

    Cheers,

    Lou

I've been digging through my photo folders and come across these...

They are a few years old and I don't know the people or the car, but this was apparently taken in one of the regional game parks to the west of Johannesburg in South Africa.

A pride of bored young males with nothing better to do and according to those who profess to know, most probably because of dog wee on the wheels...

Can't blame the Bridgestone Duelers for that one!

    Cheers,

    Lou

PS: In retrospect these should have been in the funny and odd pictures section?
