I'm in a similar dilemma but I want a winch bar.

That's the easy, boring, simple and heavy option. It's also identical to the LR OEM supplied bar on the other Puma in town. I'd like to cut the front weight down a bit, so was thinking of the Equip4x4 style. I also need it to be able to take lights, aerial(s) and flag pole.

Yeah I'm doing that too but what I'm really hoping for is for someone on here to say, "I went to this great mob at >insert business name< who did a fantastic job for less than a case of imported beer... rave rave etc etc...hope one of them can marry my youngest daughter...".
mate your after an A bar..........with 3 tabs on it, 2 for lights one for uhf antenna, do you think your being a little over the top!
if you weren't looking for the awesome welder that someone might marry someones daughter one day you probably could of had one built already
why dont you have a crack at it your self......
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Andrew I've got nothing to add other than I can't wait to see it. If I didn't need a bull bar for hoppy protection I'd love a nudge bar as they look great!

No pipe bender you dont need one, buy bends to weld in
See item 1 above - and no grinder either. All the tools I do have seem to be electronics or woodworking ones - but I do have a socket set.
No time, fair enough
And the spare time I do have all I can do is sit around catatonic, conserving energy for the next bit of work. Besides, the Olympics are nearly upon us so there goes primetime for the next three weeks.
Hands like little pillows stop moisterizing them
Hard to draw with calluses and busted hands.
and incompetent. doesn't hurt to have a crack
If it was on a busted old Defender then maybe, but I am too anal to risk it on the new one and then spend the rest of my time driving around thinking "gee, I wish I'd done that better". Besides, it's more fun blaming others than yourself - makes me feel like a big man. And see item 1 above.
