I know about them, and I suspect so does Mark2 - but they do not meet the requirement "yet which look similar to the originals." There seems to be no reason why round ones should not exist, but round seems to be unfashionable.

A friend recently got NAS lenses for his Defender and got LED bulbs from brightlights (mentioned earlier in this thread). They look good & bright.

I used LED replacement globes on the SIII, with existing lenses without issue, and have LED for the front parkers on the Defender (using the standard lens), but haven't forked out to replace the rest of the lights yet.

I think I've seen round LED tail lights from HELLA that would look matching (ie match the theme), but not look exactly the same. Obviously for a HELLA valot of money.

    - the replacment LED brake light globes arent as bright as an incandescant filament (not enough contrast between tail light and brake light) -unless the quality has improved since I bought some a couple of years ago

    - the lenses are still easy to break - a good LED assembly should be resin filled and have polycarbonate lenses which are very tough.

The ones I use on my boat trailer are just about indestructable.
I could bolt these on the back of the 110 but it wouldnt look right (understatement)

Sounds like there is a market for some reasonably priced assemblies.....
The last year or so has seen some very high quality globes come out on the market. I have previously used Narva ones which are absolute rubbish.

Anything that uses superflux LED's will give you excellent light. Syop /tail usually have differing numbers of LED's with different outputs. Mine are better than conventional filament even in daylight.

The one thing i did find was to use white LED's unless you have clear lenses in which case use colour as needed.

Here is a few links to try.

plus all those suggested in previous posts.

I want to make a globe with a PCB fitted to the end shaped for each globe recess in my Classic. Its one of my "Pantene" projects at the moment...

Have you thought about putting those LED replacement bulbs in your standard lamp holders instead?

Those assemblies are exactly the type of thing I'm looking for. If they were $170 I'd go for it, but 170 pounds is too much. Although its still cheap in comparison to simply replacing a lense on most other vehicles...

Its tempting to buy a set, send them off to China and get some copies made - I'm sure I could sell heaps at the right price......
