it is an excellent feeling giving and getting "the wave". Even taught my kids to do it too....

Mind you.... there are a few Defender Melbournites who just don't get it

Well it wouldn't be me then. I am normally on the end of a no wave. Either driver is dozing or just not a real Defender driver.

Minni.... will keep my eyes open for ya. But yeah, some folks must drive around asleep.

On a side not, i drive down Berkeley Street, Hawthorn , on my way to work and see a nice new Defender parked there every morning. Is it anyone on here?... one wonders.

There was a terrible wave misunderstanding on the weekend.

I was in my wagon driving behind a mate in his 110 truck cab along Mill point Road in South Perth and a 130 came theo ther way. he waved at my mate who didn't seem him and got ignored. I waved but he was busy looking at my mates Defender and didn't see me wave. He then waved at me but I was changing gear and by the time i could do the repeat wave he turned away thinking he had been snubbed twice in 15 seconds. He looked a bit sad/miffed.

I wanted to do a Uey and chase him down to clear the air.

It was all my mate's fault. He is a waver normally he just missed it. How do you miss a 130 coming the other way? Not paying enough attention.

i also wave at all defenders when i see them, but sometimes traffic or something else needs my attention more, and if i see i've missed the opportunity to wave i actually feel quite miffed - nothing like waving at a fellow fender/county/series driver and getting it returned
