We continued traveling just after Xmas from Adelaide and have now reached Perth.

Waves from Defers must be close to 100% .

While Discos and RRs would have to be nearly zero. So we have stopped paying attention to Discos and their snooty cousins. Rude buggers, might just ignore them and their waves if they are ever stuck beside the road with the bonnet up (not really).

We regularly get waved at by people in other loaded up 4x4s who are also traveling. Doesn't seem to matter so much in these cases as to what you are driving just that you are out and exploring our big beautiful country, which is almost (not quite) as neat as the Landie (read Series and Defender) wave.

I was driving through Castle Hill a while ago and a well dressed moman in a bran new Puma was pulling out of a driveway. I gave her the wave and she waved back with the biggest smile.

Just love the wave. My mates when in the car with me give me heaps when I do the wave and get a response but what would they know they drive a Toymota a Pahairho

Just got the 130 on the road and have already noticed the wave. I try not to wave to too many Disco owners as they tend to know the Mrs and it's not worth the explaining.

well I have to say my faith has been restored....

I picked the defender up on Fri after the garage having it 4 weeks..

only to be crawling a long in true campbelltown traffic fashion on the M5 only to have a yellow 110 pull up along side me and us both have a good hearty wave at each other...

we then dorve double a breast down the M5 around 10kph like we were one military parade...

I almost had to wipe a tear from my eye it was so perfect
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
