ok
test faults with nanocom...none....
wheel speed still at 442.9 on rear left.
unplug rear left, test faults....fault 06/06 rear left electrical failure CURRENT 0000times
and input shows wheel speed at 5.2.....but the front left sensor volts go from 2.25v to .01v while the other wheel remain at 2.25v and 1.7kph?
confused even more...
cheers phil

Have you tried jacking that wheel and letting it idle?
if the sensor is bad the speedo will show it,,
although by now you probably realise that.......![]()

Just a thought, but its a frequency calculation, so the wire may be damaged (ie broken). Its quite possibly a hall effect pickup, so not easy to test stationary. Either that, or the stator/rotor is buggered. We have had problems like that with Motec TC systems, crazy high values. Unplug the other side and see if it goes to a high speed also.
Cheers!
Hi,
i had a crazy wheel sensor in my td5 defender, would apply brakes and traction control randomly while driving, turns out the wire was cracked where it went into the sensor. some very careful soldering and some electrical grade silastic saved me several hundred dollars for a new sensor.
I was using the Nanocom yesterday, and noticed I had the same irregularity.
But since a 110 is slower than a 90, the LH/R wheel was only doing 408km/h, with vehicle parked.
No faults recorded, nothing unusual has been noticed.
Don't know if it becomes normal again with movement over the minimum detectable speed (about 2.5km/h from memory).

i sent all my info to nanocom, there response was
''it is all correct'' !??
so i spose that how it should be
cheers phil
