Thread: Air Intake Grille

Should be ok grill is there for looks and to stop branches getting into air filter or is it your heater inlet either way its not a great problem.

Did I read somewhere you can get steel ones? Mine has broken either overtightened, old, received a knock or all of the above.

yes, I think i saw s/s grilles at MR in Redcliffe - might look a bit naff on the Defender though methinks.

Sounds like a ripper of an excuse to fit a snorkel instead of playing around with a replacement grill.

I've just fitted a snorkel to my Defender so if you want the old grille, you're welcome to it. You don't say where you are, but I'm in Brisbane

Thanks for the offer, I´m in Cleveland, but I would be happy to travel to pick it up from you.

I did contemplate the snorkel option, but I just can´t bring myself to spend $400 on a bit of blow-moulded plastic yet - maybe one day.

Just push the centres out (push in towards the engine bay)

As Booger asks, is it your cabin air intake or the engine air intake?
