Have you had a look at Brown Davis I think they do a 100L Aux for a 130.

Don't know much about it - they did a tank for me years ago and was very happy with it.

I built a pair of under sill tanks for my father (bundalene) which taper up at the sides. They hold about 100L usable in total (pas side has a cut out for the battery box). I think he has put some photos up on the forum somewhere.

They taper from the chassis rail to about 1" below the sill.

No i will not make any more, i am not a sheetie, as each tank took about 12 hours work, not including designing or fitting (which needed more minor mods)

wow your all so lucky being able to source these tanks. I'm after a long range tank for my 200Tdi 90. I'm off to the Alps exploring and my 50L tank is next to useless for this. Anyone care to share designs or know anywhere in Europe I can source a tank that will fit. I've found safari-equip.co.uk do tanks but they charge over £350! Which is shocking since I'm sure there must be a tank ready made for under £100 that's up to the job. I can weld and braze too which makes life easier.

    designs please

A mate has one of the driver's side tanks, we both have 130s and are going on a Simpson trip this year and neither of us is using it, couldn't bear to lose the under driver seat tool box. It has cut outs for crossmembers etc and tapers toward the sill. Pretty sure he wants to sell it. I have a Longranger 120 litre ( think it holds a little more than that ) and will just carry 2 jerries.

A couple of jerries is plenty for the average Simpson crossing, Its when you need more that you have to make the sacrifices, for our Madigan crossing we were carrying an average of 230 litres each. Still with a 130, 5 or 6 jerries wouldn't be much of a problem either.

I have the same under the drivers seat tank as Bushie , But i did not miss the tool box uder the seat as this is the first 110 i have owned for a while and i am used to 90's which have a tank under the drivers seat anyway . So no use to the box under the drivers seat anyway .

I like the tank under the seat and find it great. Although it confuses the misses as in the 90 the tank under the seat is the main tank and the tank in the back is the aux tank. Where as it the other way round in the 110.

We bought the car with the tank under the seat but i have no problem with it and would buy one if i did not already have one

I got an aux tank made up the same size as the storage locker under the rear seats on my 130TD5 dual cab. fitted a series 3 filler and a small transfer pump to pump it back to the main tank. The aux tank holds about 75 litres gives me a range of approx 1100km
