Like I said, it's a combination safe. Key would hopefully stay in my brain for duration of swim.

So far made 2 for the defenders and bolted through where middle seat goes. Will take some pics of 1 on the w/end if I remember. Useful to have a steel cubby box since the doors none too secure...!

I have made a steal Cubby Box which fits under the existing cubby box and sits below the floor pan. It is shaped around the tail end of the gear box and brake drum.
I have insulated it to protect from heat and lined it with vinyl.

The existing box is hinged and will open to give complete access to the new box. It would be a simple task to add a key lock to this.

I was considering manufacturing a few of these, if any one is interested I will work out a price.

This one will not fit the Puma engine Defender. The little lever is a lot closer to the box than in pre-Puma Defenders.

    Cheers,

I've seen the Front Runner unit that goes under the existing cubby box and I'm considering this. But there are a number of others out there from Mantec, Bearmach, Mobile Storage Systems, Loc-Box etc.

    How well do they fit?
Are they bigger than the OEM one?
    How secure are they?
    What do you recommend?
Ive got the Mobile Storage Systems one in the 110 (currently) - its steel, lockable, just the right height. Ive had it many years and move it into each vehicle as I change it.

I think for the Puma you would either need to loose the 2 x cup holders or the radio box on the front. Cubby box itself will fit no worries though.
    Regards,
    Jon
