we were looking into different shipping options (as it was looking like the shipping was going to kill any sort of bulk order discount) he was going to get back to me and all went very quiet

I've got the X-Eng X-Brake for a couple of guys in Aus since buying my own. The killer is the freight. I have not yet found an affordable freight operation to make it worth bringing in stock. I'll order them for anyone, but get them supplied directly to you, avoiding GST and duties etc that I get charged if they are imported in bulk. Typically I am able to save you a few dollars compared to you doing it directly. If there are a few interested I'll see what I can save.

I oragnised a bulk discount RRD it was quite substantial but as said above the freight is what really canceled out the discount as it was so much

As a postal item surface is out from many countries. However freight is a different story. Shipping agents should be able to help otherwise how do people bring their cars into the country when they place them inside a container in the UK and they turn up in OZ a few weeks later?

people bring thier cars out becuase they pay for a full or a half shipping container.

which you could also do but you would need to put a lot of units in to warrant half a container...and then to bring that many in to make that viable your not going to avoid the import tax
