LR started producing the TD5 engine in 1998 - however, don't know when they first sold Td5's in Australia. Would be 99 I think.

Hey i have just found this,this would be perfect as the extra cabs are hard to find,me being 6'5" i need all the room i can get,hows the price is that a good price...thanks in advance...Wes.

being 6'5'' there is a simple mod of installing 20x20 box section under the seat rails to give you tall guys abit more leg room.

I have got one exactly the same as that!! It is an ex-telstra vehicle, and has quite a few nice bits on it.

The rear axle is strengthened with extra gusseting, and they got the military WOLF diffs for extra strength. The chassis has been strengthened, and they come with a 127L diesel tank.

When I bought mine, I rang the company that made the alloy canopy, and they told me it was a $12,000 add-on to Telstra. It is very nicely made and very strong.

The other good thing about these is that the cabs are 12" longer than a standard two door. See that extra oval window - that is a custom addon for Telstra and gives you a bunch more leg room inside. The seats are already moved back about 3 inches, so no need for MudRails etc.
