    Dashboard Trailer Lamp

My Puma does not seem to be displaying the trailer lamp when I use the indicators and the trailer is connected.
When I use the hazards the dashboard lamp flashes but it also flashes when the trailer is disconected and the hazards are on.
Can the dealers fix this or will I end up getting bigger problems letting them try and correct it.

What type of indicators do you have on the trailer. My camper has LED's and so the trailer light doesn't flash any differently to the single flash when you turn the indicators on if the trailer wasn't connected. The way the system works is by detecting sufficient current draw on the indicator circuit, so if the trailer system isn't drawing enough power (e.g. 5W bulbs or even worse LED's) then it won't think it needs to activate.

    not sure

It's a really old trailer but I did put in new lamps.
They are the the glass type that look a bit like minature cucumbers. Not sure how els to describe them.
I will have a look tonight on their wattage.
    Thanks
