Towbar - go the genuine, but check the Hayman Reece as it may be the same unit.

Don't think they are the same unit As I don't think it was hayman that supplied these genuine ones..I could stand corrected on that though but I remember having a conversation with someone about it sometime ago

The genuine bar is different to the Hayman Reece - there was a rumour that HR make the genuine bar - who knows? But the bars that are sold as one or the other are totally different.

I was told HR but then from what you've been told it isn't. So I suspect it probably isn't HR, just that they are the "common" brand for towbars.

I seem to have the double whammy here, I've got both the Hayman Reece Tow Bar and the replacement tank. I've found I haven't missed the rear step due to the replacement tank and HR hitch. When I need to get up to the roof racks I typically need to stand on the wheels or inside the door well. Have thought about the ladder, but not too sure how useful they are, being fitted to one side.

With regards to the replacement tank hanging down, I still have the same exit angle and as it sits so close to centre of my rear axle I don't feel I've lost too much of my clearance. When I can get the 110 off my wife I'll try and take some photo's and put up on the site...
