    Reverse Camera

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking at fitting a reverse camera to the Puma and I have been looking at ideas for where to fit it. I haven't bought a camera yet, and was just wondering what others have done. Did you go for the "truck" style, "Bullet" style or "numberplate' style?

    Pictures would be appreciated.

    Craig

I have mounted my camera (bullet type I think) under the centre stop light on the rear door.

The down side is the spare wheel blocks the lower view a little bit, but the up side is having the camera on the inside it doesn't get dirty or muddy. If the window is dirty, I can just use the rear washer/wiper & I'm back in bussiness.

I bit the bullet and 'hard mounted' the camera above the rear window washer.

The screen is a 7" touch screen which doubles as a GPS screen (connected to a laptop mounted on the cargo barrier running OziExplorer)

I have a TFT screen which I was hoping to mount to a camera but that with the GPS I'll need to mount a forward camera so that I can see out of the front as well

We've mounted ours just above the tow bar. It is great for reversing, see if you have "just" enough room to merge, of course looking out for kiddies. And is absolutly brilliant for coupling trailers. People watch you reverse up to the trailer and place the ball right under the hitch and stare in awe

    Cheers,

    Hi JohnR,

I like the sound of your. A few questions...
What brand did you buy? Did you install yourself or the supplier? Where is the monitor?
    Cheers,

    Nigel
