Has it got chequer plate along the side sills that have been painted orange to match the duco or is it just a trick of the light in the photos?

I know this is an old thread. However, I too saw this G4 Defender heading into Melbourne from the Geelong side last night. It looks fantastic and I could not believe my eyes. When I saw it had bright instruments and a bonnet bulge I wondered if it was a replica. Sorry but I didn't think of looking to see if it had roof rack lights, I didn't want to crash into it 😀
