my god these things are getting ugly, the interior looks dodgy, and the headlight surrounds make me want to puke!

the taillights i guess would be acceptable if they were LED's

Ok true but then England is not that cold nor will it get the same weather that northern and north western Europe gets with a annual temperature variation of 60 deg, England at best is pushing only 30-35 deg. Nor would England experience a ground temperature of - 30 and an air temperature (taken at 800mm) of + 20 at the same time.

In England it would be a bit of heat from inside the cab that may melt a bit of snow and I doubt that England could produce a winter sun that could give you a sun tan ( if ever)

Sorry I dont get your point....weather its warmth from the sun heating the roof and melting the snow/ice or heat from your cab..

why would that mean that they should not come with a black roof?

IMHO having a black roof means NOTHING yes you get in your car and your aircon takes 30 seconds longer to cool the car on a hot day and perhaps you dont need to put your heater on in the cab to kill someone with Ice because the dreaded black roof will warm up and do that for you :lol2:

aircons are good these days...I think that is eveidant from the many dark coloured cars on our roads today...I think we need to move on from the 70's;)

But like I said that is just my opinion:p

In England it would only be the heat from the cab, and this would cool down leaving only a thin layer of ice and a dusting of snow on top. As well as in England the snow is wet ( relative term) add to that England doesn’t get the heavy nightly dumps of snow after very bright hot sunny days where the air temp can drop 40 deg in 40 mints.

I like the white because it works better with the headlight trim and doesn't have boggle eyes, but the red is cool also as its not the usual Defender white - its a lot more striking.
