    All terrain tyre- nearest match

I just purchased 4 new but superseded tyres from fleabay. The guy I bought them off ( & the tyre place that fitted them) say they were made by Goodyear USA & sold thru K Mart but I cant see a similar type to buy as a spare.
Anyone think they know of a similar tyre?? The brand is Super sport, but thats not all that relevant as its been discontinued. Size is 235X85X16

    Thanks, David

Most tyre services tend to hang on to any tyres that have usabble tread on them.
I know my local guy even has my size in his rack.
IMHO the 5th is only a spare, while it has to be good it's only in use till you get the origianal repaired and then it's back on the rack.
Try a few and get some thing close.
Looks like a Kelly I used to run in the tread blocks.
    Happy hunting and Cheers.

looked at buying those, but even though they are new, they are over 7 years old, and i'd be a little concerned about the longevity of the rubber.
casting on them was 1702, making them 17th week of 02 manufacture. :/

Thanks for that, so this would be 40th week 03?. They've been in a shed & kept pretty fresh by doing that.

    correct 40th week year 03.

uv exposure is the killer for tyres when they're not on the road.

the first 4 letters identify the tyre plant that pressed em.
