I'd say it's good! Standard price plus dealer delivery/ charges etc were more than that as I recall - in 2007 - with no free service - just a tank of fuel. I'd "lock it in"!

Ive been looking too, but haven't got down to the nitty gritty yet. They say "over 52k" - but make sure it is one of the later ones fitted with ABS and TC. There are a few about minus this and they seem to be around 4-6K less. The servicing sounds good (so does the car!!).

it is minus abs my bad for not fronting that info ....but i am really struggling with the concept of being a defeated defender owner .....i may just push on with the 130 get it to my way of thinking and hang out to see what happens on defender 2 (if there is one) just because there is a lifetime of parts for my glorious 130 300 tdi not so for the new one with only a three year one as advised by the lord of mechanical dance aka Dave

yeah i get you, but after a long chat with Dave today re the pro's and cons i have what i want really, i was like a magpie down at the landy garage 50k + is nuts really when i would be spewing if i didn't carry on with bluey, all parts are available it won't depreciate as fast as the 110 (straight off the forecourt ) i will not see my money again either but if i spent 10-15k on bluey i would still be in pocket and out of debt heaps faster than if i bought the silver thing (i dont like silver too bleeding pretty) so its on with the rest of the drive train elements such as suspension, new boots, also new winch bar, new bulkhead, the tray top and spare wheel carrier rear, then the paint of drab olive green (not in any particular order there) and then i will look at getting Dave's advise on the engine and gearbox (as to import or not ) though might it just need some love.
So that flight of fancy is over with i have taken a chill pill and still have cash in my pocket, and have learnt the lesson of the day pretty isn't always the way to go (exception to the Mrs ...nasty right hook)
And whilst referring to the Mrs good on her for not throwing a huge spack about the new landy, she took it in her stride and let me make my own conclusions, gotta love a chick like that aint ya?
I owe it to the blue beast to come good and soldier on viva la 300 tdi!!!
Thanks for your input guys it was all appreciated regards Andy.
