    should i sell

well, my very loved td5 fender is been very sort after, in the last week iv had 3 stragers ask me at random if id consider selling it, and the people that want to buy it are very seriose about buying,

iv had a look one car point and there is about 2-3 td5 110s on there,, and at least one of them i no is a dog of a car, as i have worked on and seen it,

so it terns out fenders are geting harder and harder to get, and so a very good td5 witch aparently mine is as the people who want to buy it have looked at others and sead mine is far the better one of the lot

and the added fact that its owned buy a landrover nut and uesd but still looked after, and not buy some one who just bort the car cos they had to,

if i did sell the fender id get a good d2a hse, witch means il be going down in the world
prity much all my mates dont want me to sell it, as it is way to good and to uniuqe to sell on,

so what you think, sell or stay

You imply that you are a Landy mechanic, therefore you'd most likely service the vehicle yourself. It maybe the best and cheapest used Defender in the district, but as soon as the mechanic starts conversing to me in text speak, alarms would go off in my head and I wouldn't buy the car.

Posting in the jargon in which you post gives the impression of a low aptitude, ask yourself the question, would you honestly buy a vehicle that had been serviced and driven buy a retarded chimpanzee? No I am not saying you are a retarded chimpanzee.

Dobbo, stig0000 is an apprentice mechanic with an LR dealer.

If you'd followed stig's posts over the past year or so you'd have realised that he's not the greatest at spelling but he is a keen LR owner (and comes from a family of LR aficionados). His family own/have owned far more Landies (and a greater range thereof) than you or I combined ever will.

Dobbo, I've read many of stig's posts and I've rarely (if ever) made a correction. Why, when I do it to others?

Because I never correct those who are chronically bad spellers (and stig is not alone on this forum, I can assure you). Generally, I correct where the speller uses a word which is patently wrong and allows the reader to misinterpret what was said.

A classic case of this is when Clean32 implied a mastectomy was a trivial procedure (which, of course, it is not) - when he apparently meant mammogram.

I also correct when we can have a little fun with (not at) the writer. I also make many corrections "behind the scenes" without bringing it to anyone's attention, often to improve the chances of a search working. Of course, I'll have a dig at those whom I know can spell very well but make typos that can be amusing, e.g. Lotz-A-Landies, Numpty's Missus, etc.

As I have written a number of times, I can spell but I cannot weld (insert many other skills here). Most others on here have skills that I can only ever dream of acquiring or that I can but stand back and admire. Those with these skills could easily make fun of me over my lack of ability.

Guess Dobbo is not going to buy it than.

A good defender will make good money- Simple as that.

Spelling is not everyones strength and can be annoying but to give a guy a serving is not fair.
There are far more serious things to worry about.

Hope you find what you are looking for Stig.
