Sounds awesome, but gee I felt a bit giddy after watching it. The cameraman needs an ale or two to steady his hand.

Heres a link to a youtube video I found of a 110 hi-capicity with an engine swap - a Cummins 6BT (6 cylinder diesel turbo)
The Rover is in England.
Just listen to the sound this thing makes!!
I'd rather have this then a V8 diesel Toyo!!
Thought some members would be interested.

Pretty sure this is the one owned by JP (handbuilt) from canada. It is a series landie running 38s
I want one! (but a 6BD1T would be just as good...)

be interesting to see the difference in weight between a 6BT and a 6BD1T
though i'd say you'd probably rattle less fillings out with the cummins!
does anyone no if it would be a hard conversion im in the US at the moment and the 6BT arent that expensive for low K motor

interestingly, theres also a 3.9L 4BT cummins..... almost identical bore/stroke to the isuzu, 3kw less than a 4BD1T, but 25nm more torque......
fwiw, wet weight of the Cummins 4BT is 338kg..... any idea what a 4BD1T weighs?

4BD1T weighs 327 kg according to my manual.
4BT and 4BD1T are very similar. 4BT has slightly longer stroke, but 4BD1T runs smoother, revs higher and IMHO is constructed with a bit more strength.
4BT is available in many variations of power output. Stock 4BD1T tuning is very conservative.
Edit: I had incorrectly said above 4BT torque curve is a lot flatter - my memory let me down, I was thinking of a set of curves (see below) comparing Isuzu 4BD2TC and Cummins 4BT, but it is the Isuzu 4BD2TC that has the flatter torque curve. The 4BT makes more torque at lower revs.
The 4BD1T torque curve is not as flat as the 4BD2TC - IMHO due to injection pump calibration for lower boost pressure and non inter cooled 4BD1T.
All this torque, give me plenty pulling power, all night loung lov you loungtine.
Can't say that about a V8
