The 110 chassis is curved so cutting it anywhere would look sus, maybe better to fit coils to a s3 or get a new 90 chassis from pommy land. A SW body would be easier to cut down than a 4 door i would imagine

SupporterHow difficult is it to shorten a 110 chassis to a 90 swb (92inch) wheel base?
Where would you cut the chassis to shorten at the end of the chassis or in the middle. If the middle then the gearbox mounts would need changing as well. If the rear it would look weird i suspect as the wheelbase would still be 110 and the end chopped off. I know of some people shortening a RR chassis 100inch to a 90 swb but surely a 110 would be easier. any comments

bruce davis did one with a brand new extreme in 2001, the owner also had it fully optioned with leather, auto, and maxidrives. I had the pleasure of driving it once, and it was very neat (like a new car should be.)
I have wanted to do a 90 conversion for years on a 110, I ended up buying a 90 chassis. They are hard to find, but rovercraft in wa have them forr about 2.5k. I am yet to start the project though.

i was inches away from buying max's 90 years ago before i bought mine, he'd done outback challenge and a few other comps in it (sean calcino was selling it on his behalf done the gold coast, was a good buy. i heard of his accident and thats terrible for him.
after owing a 90 for a few years now i wish the wheel base was 10" or so longer for hard offroading, i've just bought 37's and a 90 is a tad short for the steep stuff, i'm looking at stretching her in the future!
they are iconic in the SWB but if you are looking at shortening it maybe only go to a 100" or so and have a kick ass approach and departure
looks tidy, BUT WTF WITH THE COLOUR? other then that looks sweet
oh yeah....looks like you stole the wubba offa ma mummas shoopin twolley
