Mahn I wasn't saying it was a soley off road issue only that us going to Zig zag and living in east hills with big speed bumps in the area could be the only reason for ours happening, as everything we drive now is flat and would cause no compression.......hence why I probably don't have as much noticeable catching as you do.
everything that has happened on the puma has been bad engineering has it not?
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Pic's of my Puma's rear prop shaft and the bracket.
I can't disagree with what you guys have, I can only comment on mine and it would appear that without any horizontal movement in the prop shaft or the exhaust there is little chance of these meeting as there is a very reasonable gap.
Both of you have 07MY Puma's. I'll give Andy in town a call tomorrow and ask him to check his as well as it is an 07MY, mine's an 08MY, I'll PM Geoff and point him to this thread as his is an 09MY. I suspect this may be a hidden issue on either earlier Puma's or just luck of the draw as to who put the bracket on.

Yes I understand Lou.
If there is a sufficient body of evidence that this is an issue regardless of normal on and off road usage then we as owners should be letting LR know...before the tail shafts let go.
We as owners (customers) should be be Land Rover's most reliable source of feed back on its products.![]()

I have plenty of speed bump around town and I too don't slow down much for them especially with the new shocks. I think the Land Cruiser behind me the other day nearly did some damage as he followed me over the first speed hump at the same speedBy the second hump he'd slowed considerably!
If it is happening it won't mater whether on road or off. So I think there is an issue with both your's and DB's.

Thanks for the photos Derek.
Mines an 09 MY albeit an 08 build. I think that the Morgan analogy is apt.![]()
