Nope. Sorry, mate. The 'Methane Tax' will be outrageous.

I'm just hoping (probably a naive hope) that the government doesn't use this Covid-like, fuel crisis as an adjunct to its unrealistic Green Dreams.

Capture the methane for a petrol substitute.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

A bit of the opposite actually, the government has increased the limits on sulphur in diesel for 60 days as our southern refinery produces this for other markets. I have heard high sulphur can damage new car exhausts, but I believe the extra diesel is destined for independent fuel suppliers to farms, I'm not sure if any ag equipment is made to Euro 6 standards, except for trucks of course.

Last night I heard that it has only been "illegal" since before christmas so it's a relatively new change. I would think this is a sensible thing to do for the short term.

Let's not forget that the big problem with higher sulphur fuel is that it increases engine wear because the sulphuric acid that forms as part of the combustion process is less than idea.

Of course that doesn't stop the people in here from saying lower quality fuel is all good.

When they are saying "dirty fuel", it appears to be another ridiculous greeny nutjob con job. By "dirty fuel", are they not just talking about the fuel standards that were in effect 3 months ago. I still have some of the evil dirty fuel in some of my cars and mowers.

And they wonder why we have such absolute disregard and contempt for everything being screamed at us by the hysterical media.

Man I wish I could be a brainless moron like they think everyone is.

The "they" talking about dirty fuel was the media.

The government were the ones saying this was only a minor thing. So you agree with them. Hazzah!

Also this only reffers to diesel and the suphur content.

Three interesting things in EV space

1- EV charging rollout stalls as costs blow out. The federal government is reconsidering plans to roll out 72 additional EV charging stations after only 45 of the originally planned 117 have been built three years into the five-year program. Remote locations have made the project far more expensive than expected.

    2-
Chinese electric-vehicle giant BYD is reportedly exploring an entry into Formula One, a historic move that could potentially expand the grid to 12 teams.

3- CATL filed an international patent, detailing how its solid-state battery cell and electrolyte material can help overcome one of the biggest challenges in bringing the new tech to market.

CATL patent explains new solid-state EV battery system
CATL widened its lead in the global EV battery market last year, accounting for nearly 40% sales. To stay ahead, the company is advancing new battery chemistries, including sodium-ion and solid-state, promising to unlock considerable improvements in driving range, charging speeds, and safety.

A new patent published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) offers a closer look at how CATL’s solid-state battery system works. While the patent doesn’t reveal a timeline, according to CarNewsChina, CATL has already begun pilot production of solid-state EV batteries with an energy density of 500 Wh/kg.

    Vid didn't work.

They got that wrong,it needs to be diesel, that is what the farming community is screaminging out for, including the transport industry.
