U308 price when I posted above was about USD$48 LBS. A small change Numerco: Nuclear Fuel Snapshot

France pulled its Embassy out of Niger. The next big mine by the French in Niger is

    • Rumours:
    • a Tender to supply U308 for a Small Nuclear reactor in the market to secure supply for a build of some starting 2024
    • 20 ish other tenders to supply in this qtr
    • 100,000lbs thurday and Friday move the price about $4 each time. (what happened last night is not yet clear!)

That a one page law to stop Nuclear Power in Australia is still a blocker to costing it here is a hoot.

The Ten Small Nuclear Reactors we are buying via the Submarine plan must be exempt from that oddity

NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE I suspect the Nuclear fuel for our future Subs might cost a bit more. That is almost irrelevant to their cost as Nuclear fuel is usually well under 10% of the running cost of a Nuclear power station. Even 'if' the U308 goes much higher the cost of Nuclear Power is not impacted!

    NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE!

Small is good in some cases. I found an interesting Australian site for SMR tech here? Nuclear Technology | Smr Nuclear Technology

I have no idea that was here until today- SLOW JOE ME!

Found it as I was looking for this news

"(RTTNews) - Shares of NuScale Power Corporation (SMR) are surging more than 18% Friday morning after the company said Standard Power, a provider of infrastructure as a service to advanced data processing companies, chose NuScale's SMR Technology"

That sector is going to be interesting. NuScale is sort of old tech in small scale. Others such as Rolls Royce, X Energy and Terra power +++++++++++ For small scale there is a LOT of wanabess!

The stock I have is down 40% before the jump last night. That fact highlights why not to take financial advice from a twit like me!

Edit. U308 spot price is just under USD$70 LBS today Numerco: Nuclear Fuel Snapshot

Edit. Its 2GW and 24 SMR reactors 77mW reactors! That is a lot bigger than I thought as it is Mass Production of SMRs!!!

"Based on Standard Power’s plans for the two facilities, NuScale will end up providing 24 units of 77 MWe modules collectively producing 1,848 MWe of clean energy from both the Ohio and Pennsylvania sites."

SMR in my prior post was hit by a SHORT REPORT and the prices fell a LOT. A SPAC for X Energy was cancelled due to this negative sentiment I hear. My few $$ in that will be back in my account due to that failure.

Not at all bothered!! "The AUM of uranium sector ETFs has grown by 20x over the last threeyears:"

AUM is assets under management. One of the EFTs is now on the Australian Stock Exchange.

The Spot price is now over $74 again. It was about $20 three years ago.

I did hear that the free cash flow from Exxon Mobile is about USD$62 billion every year! The total market cap of one of the biggest u308 miners is about USD$16 billion only. Oil is clearly still winning at energy! (Cameco)

NOt Investment advice. If it was (It is NOT) clearly SMR post shows I am a tool at times

    Madi Hilly- Nuclear waste Storage

She holds a BS in Environmental Sciences and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In a post on Twitter with more than 557,000 views and thousands of likes, Hilly shared the pictures alongside the caption: "No babies received any excess radiation in the making of this nuclear waste maternity photoshoot," and hopes that it will spark conversation.
"My hope was that these photos would combat the fantasy of nuclear waste and inspire those who were surprised by them to learn more about real nuclear waste," she said.

I have been near a few reactors. The Waste Madi is standing beside is from the decommissioned Three Mile Island reactor.

You left out 2 cups of SR Flour & three teaspoons of Vanilla essence. Otherwise you are spot on.

BTW, is U308 one of the new subs?

Two sailors and a cool 73 year old blindman on bikes- Sounds like the start of a good joke.
Or a Bad joke, It surely does.
Are you going to tie/moor him to one of the treadlies or is he taking his buoy with him?

My cotton pick did a swan dive! Dam inflation and cost blow outs "WASHINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The CEO of NuScale defended his small, modular nuclear reactor business on Tuesday, saying work continues in the U.S. and two other countries after the company canceled its first plant, set to be built at an American government lab, due to rising costs."

Lots of others and the U308 prices is up and away My "U308 spot price is just under USD$70 LBS today Numerco: Nuclear Fuel Snapshot"

Its like Iron Ore, Wheat, wool, houses, land or oil. Price measure of any commodity is a major factor in mining and $$$$$$$

Gold 15 years ago was 600ish $ per ounce. A Company Gold Road found a huge amount which would cost a lot of money to start digging it out. Price changes and GOR was a wonderful investment for me. It is still operating - I do not own any now. I had cost me a few cents only to buy them and I sold for well over a 1 for each of them. A Golden Old investment I made years ago.

Price of gold made it viable or not to build the mine.

U308 has been under the price of extraction for about 20 years. That killed a lot of companies and hurt share prices of those who survived the carnage.

I was looking at a report this morning suggesting BHP hides its U308 sales by including them in its copper sales data. The report suggests 20-30% of South Australia's Olympic Dam profit is from u308. BHP is hiding that information well!

Gold is $1998ish USD$ today. It's my inexpert view that the prices I am interested in will be significantly higher for a long time.

I am not an investment adviser except for myself! Bubbles and risks are dangers in our business, superannuation, housing or investments.

"The World Nuclear Association just released a report modelling uranium supply and demand out to 2040, envisaging three scenarios;- the Lower Scenario (lowest demand scenario), which assumes delays in implementing these plans- the Reference Scenario (expected demand based on information from government and utility targets and objectives)- and the Upper Scenario (underpinned by more favourable conditions, largely reflecting the targets announced in many countries to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, and the acceptance that nuclear power will play an indispensable role in reaching this goal). As Guy Keller, Head of the Tribeca Nuclear Opportunities Fund points out;The supply that the World Nuclear Association models is barely able to meet the requirements of the lowest demand scenario. There is no wall of supply that has come on.In this interview, exploring one of the hottest commodities in the market right now, Keller further explains the supply/demand dynamics in uranium, talks through other areas of opportunity in the nuclear space and highlights some companies that he particularly likes. He also explains why this opportunity is still in its infancy and could last for decades to come."
