top class movie, almost exactly the book, so close the only things they left out were additional story lines which the movie would not have had time to recreate effectively. It will go into one of the top 10 best Aussie movies ever IMO.

Also because the movie ends at the end of book 1 of 7, I imagine they have a few more in the pipeline.

    Awesome movie!!
I agree they followed the book very well, only missed a few things!
I didn't even know there were more books, i might have to read them.

P.s the county sounded abit like an isuzu (diesel anyway) but it had a v8 sticker on the side?

I saw it today and yes it is a very good movie considering that the story around the traps is the budget was only around $70 000. My daughter tells me that there is several books and the movie was book one. I look forward to futurer installments, its good to see Australia can still produce movies for dollars that are in the realm of us common folk.

My wife and I saw it on Saturday arvo, it is a pretty good Aussie movie. The CGIs are pretty good and not over the top. My wife read the books and she loved the movie.

We give it a 4 out of a possible 5 star rating.

    Just seen it,

cant understand how this isnt direct plagerism of "RED DAWN" (which i saw orig when a very impressional 16yrs old), it seamed a very real possibility back in the cold war days for the US, the CIA was always stirring things up! Afganis, Iraq/Iran-Contra, Elsalvador, Lybia, etc, and Redneck Reagan was not going to tolerate outlaw states any more(much like Good OL W BUSH) and we worried about being dragged into a **** fight,

Whoz going to have a crack at Aus now! Did i see a China Star on those Helmets, i though they already owned us

Bit HO HUM really, Must be My AGE!,

The best bit?, was the Stoner describing the Neighbours being shot as either him being super stoned or this aint your typical day in Werrabie!! HA HA!!

OH! AND THAT A TOJO DIDNT GET A LOOK IN!!

I just saw it with the girlfriend. We both thought it was great. Non-aircon earlier county (pull up door handles) with the V8 stickers, but a confused isuzu sounding engine. Is was a diesel at idle, but changed a little when driving...

In case you were worried about it being a teenie movie, it wasn't that bad. (I haven't been a teen for over a decade)
