A couple of old Aussie classics .............

    Sunday Too Far Away

    They're A Wierd Mob

These will get you going for starters, and are a bit more representative than some of the more modern stuff.

Then there's always Crocodile Dundee and the latest ............ Australia.
    Cheers .........

Hello Vic, Australian feature films starting from the 1900s, it's hard to believe, but up until the 30s the Australian film industry was bigger than Hollywood.

    Here is a taste
All feature films on ASO - Australia's audio and visual heritage online

    Enjoy!!

I can`t advise you on Aussie Films too much although Walkabout was well aclaimed in the UK in it`s day -

My own suggestions are to give these ones a go...

    Comedy:

Withnail and I - OS 117 Cairo Nest of Spies - Anything Monty Python

    Drama:

V for Vendetta and They Live

    General Top Drawer Entertainment:

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch

Of course there are many more but these all jump out as `Must Sees`

Don't know how many of these you may have seen before, but:

    Muriel’s Wedding: very funny
    Yolngu Boy: Cool
    Moulin Rouge!: Brilliant farce
    Rabbit-Proof Fence: Heart wrenching
    Gallipoli: Brilliant, if biased
Mad Max: (All of them, well maybe no the last one) Great action fun and true to life SA party boys
The Man from Snowy River: Classic
The Year of Living Dangerously: Excellent drama
    Crocodile Dundee: Great myth making
    Crocodile Dundee II: Still funny
Dead Calm: Just shows how an actor's acting can improve
Romper Stomper: Well I liked it, probably says more about me though
Strictly Ballroom: Oh man this is soooo Australia!
Walkabout: I enjoyed this. Family movie
    Alvin Purple: Great fun!
The Cars That Ate Paris: Just shows that hoons do grow up, to produce more hoons.
    Picnic at Hanging Rock: Classic
Breaker Morant: Great historical drama even if the facts have been debated with new knowledge
    The Sundowners: Another classic
    The Shiralee: Yet another classic
    Alan
    2005 Disco 2 HSE
    1983 Series III Stage 1 V8
