"Fine"?...ABSOLUTELY,....it was absolutely immaculate, I was commenting to Wifey that I don't think they would've been that good from the factory.
Great program last night, I remember the Deltic Diesels & the B1, but not the detail shown in last night's program. I also remember the Vulcan & the Comet. Great days being a schoolboy in the UK in those days!

    G'day Bob,
Yes, they took the Engine from it (or similar), and used it to power a Diesel Locomotive, instead of steam. Was Brilliant. You might say, they had an excellent Train of thought...........
To design an engine like that, just boggles the mind.
I just love the British way of thinking.

My TV guide says tonight's episode on 7 Two Prime at 7:30 covers the 1940s.

That should include the Series I, shouldn't it?

    1973 Series III LWB 1983 - 2006
    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.

Had a glimpse of a DB2 Aston Martin though

I thought it was very interesting tonight with the emphasis on the war effort.
