Sharon uses the D-Max for the school run, picking up stock feed and hay ( are ducks stock? ), driving from Boonah to Kyogle, carting the dogs sometimes.... There are a few rough tracks near her where 4WD would be nice ( D-Max is ), but in the dry I would have taken the old ex taxi up most of 'em.

D-Max is a good thing, but she doesn't use it's capabilities, and by the sound of it the 'Hindra is easily as capable anyway for her needs.

Thanks for posting this. I hadn't considered the Mahindra.

Five year, 150K warranty. Less than $40K. It's ticking a lot of boxes.

Anyone know where his test track is?

They're huge. Far bigger than Mahindra. Pretty sure their aerospace division had a hand in putting the Indian space thingy on the moon.

I guess for those that are on FB, there is a owners page on the Mahindra

    Mahindra owners club Australia

Maybe people may get a bit more truths on it's pros and cons?

They will give the usual brands,Ranger,Hi Lux,Triton, whatever,a good shake up.

I know quite a few Tradies that have them and other Chinese brands, most have had one or two issues, but the QC will get better,as time goes on i presume.

The Couriers around here use Chinese brand vans, they all used to have Hi Aces.

Think that started with the Koreans. Kia Pregio? I think it was.

Yes that was quite a few years ago, they were OK,until the new models couldn't keep up with the latest diesel emission regs,so they disappeared.

They now have LDV brand vans.
It will be interesting to see how they are after 5 to 10 yrs,but they are cheap.

There are also a lot of LDV utes around.

LDV are a far cry from their Leyland Daf roots , hey. they're interesting cos they use inhouse engine design. Ugly IMO, but a lot of bang for your buck. They are using Oz as a guinea pig, so I'd be wary.
