    time lapse camera

i have the need to buy a time lapse camera for work.......

i have no idea what i am looking at apart from a guy in the office pointing me towards GoPro GoPro Cameras Australia | HD Action Camera | Go Pro hd

i see they only have a max of 60sec intervals, i might have a need to longer or i guess i just reduce the resolution

any members have something along these lines?

I'm not really sure what is available in actual cameras that do time lapse, but another option I have used is to hook a camera up to a laptop and then use a computer program to control the time lapse and store the photos.

I saw one the other day on "Catch of the Day"

Cant remember all the specs, but it recorded onto a SD card, and had a variable time delay between a couple of mins, to about 24hrs between shots.

I will see if I can dig it up.

For time lapse you might want to look for security cameras. Jaycar sells them.

This does very low frame rates - 16Ch DVR 1TB HDD with DVD Recorder - Jaycar Electronics

This does 1 frame per second - 4 Channel DVR Kit with 2 Cameras - Jaycar Electronics

They also do record on motion detection which might do the trick.

    ended up with a GoPro

as work is paying for it i'm not to worried

one feature i did like on the drift was that i could check where the camera was pointed as it had a display screen
