Well, in August I went for a bit of a drive, roughly 8000k's, in a round trip from Perth, across the Simpson, and back. (Puma was faultless by the way).
Anyway, here goes.....

Great shots Tim!
Could I get an honest opinion on how the General Grabbers went in the desert, mud and over the gibbers?
Hi Rimmer, they were fine, not a problem at all. We didn't see any mud, so can't comment on that. There were 6 vehicles on the trip, (most had muddies of some sort fitted, one of the LC's was on road tyres), and there were no problems at all.
Cheers,
Tim
Edit: If I were to do the trip again I wouldn't bother with the second spare.
Fanatic photos, brings back memories of our Simpson crossing 5 years ago. Got to do it again someday.
Thanks for that TimNZ. Great reminder of my trip. Just for the record that shot that you labelled Dalhousie Springs looks more like Coward Springs to me.

						Gday Tim
great photos, brings back many memories of when my father took us away and hopefully soon i will be doing it all again with my family.
Question what camera and setup were you using.
Thanks simon
Thanks for the thanks and the comments everyone
Simon, I was using a Nikon D3100 with a Sigma 17-50 f2.8 lense for the trip.
Cheers,
Tim
Some nice photos there Tim.
And your astrophotography shot isn't too bad,it just happens to be toward the centre of the galaxy, and shows the constellations of Sagittarius and Scorpius.
