    Waterproof Hard Case

Just purchased a Vanguard 40F waterproof hard case.
I'm heading to Thailand next week and will be doing a few safaris in canoes and was not happy with carrying my camera gear in a soft backpack.

Will do a review when i get home.

I have that case had it for about 4 years now..its been awesome although I havent delibrately placed it near water..but it id a very good job of keep the dust out from Kakadu, arehnam land and the cape.

only thing I dont like about it which you may not even have now is I have a manual purge when I bought it pelicans had just been released with automatic purge valves
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

Bunnings have a Pelican Case clone, branded "Kingchrome" in a few sizes, this one was $75.00

the foam cubes are a bit annoying, extra pieces keep falling out, but case fits perfectly in my 110 rear sliding drawer.

Just walked in the door from Thailand.
Had a blast with all the water adventures.
The hard case worked really well.
My only grip if i want to be picky, in sand do not sit it hinge down in the sand as the sand sticks to the plastic box and hinge and when you open in the flat position the sand falls inside.
The case kept the water and crap out once i worked out to sit it down flat before opening.
It got a real beating by the guides and others.

    Very happy with this purchase!

    Cheers
