Nice Banana!
Looks a bit soft but that could just be the web/jpeg.
It would appear you like your new Lr5![]()

it is a little soft but it was taken quite some distance away up in the stands on the 70-200...plus I have played with it a lot so could of also affected it

To reduce noise in the photo. One of the ways to take long exposure star trail photos is to take 100's of quick shots on the same setting, focal length and view. And then stack them together into one photo.
By doing it this way you can also get the foreground and camp fires into the same shot with out over exposing it. Keeping all the detail in the photo
I just looked at both copies in Lightroom side by side...its not that soft on screen well it appears that way to me anyway (although I'm not the best judge because everything to me is soft due to my now shocking eye sight)
but what I did notice on the 1:1 close up is there is an introduction of noise so perhaps this is what it adding to the soft look once its sent out to a Jpeg and compressed to fit in photobucket.
This is only the second time i have played with LR5 I wouldn't typically go to this extreme, its just that I watched some tutorials on Adobe and was shocked about how much I didn't know about LR so thought I would have a play and familiarise myself with its functions
There is a lot more to LR than I thought and it is quite a powerful tool, obviously not as powerful as Photoshop but still pretty bloody good
this is the original
