Hi Ron, if you want to learn how to use PS I find that the Digital Camera Magazine is the best buy. It comes with video walkthroughs and before & after images on a CD which makes it easy to learn. It is a UK import so it isn't the cheapest and I found that when I filled it up with oil it did leak.

I found that once I'd bought half a dozen mags I was able to do most things I needed, but I also had enough basic skills to follow through other tutorials on websites.

It works best if you can play the video on one computer/monitor and edit the images at the same time on the other.

    Cheers, Steve

My old man was there too, with a series of old men (ok, with his friends)

I didn't go, but it sounded like a good day. Got a program though - wonder why Ritters had advertised in it

I try and go every year usually with my old man and my older brother, was a beautiful day clear blue sky and 17 degree's and lots of good racing as well. My dad is building up a vintage racer from dodge/chev/nash parts.

    Bark detail

I like to capture details in the bark of tree trunks. This shot is from an area of about 100mm X 50 mm usning the Nikkor 35-70 and the Nikon D200

    Cheers

    One more?

This is one more of the series "Tales of the Woods"
I am very proud of this series from which several images got the "Image of the Week" in one of the most important Nature forums of the world.
The idea come after looking the bark of several sick Peprbark trees in the area faret torrential rain.
There are lots of opertunities for macro and semi macro photography when we cannot go to far from home
    Cheers

So this begs the question from all your photo's I have seen, are the colours natural or tweaked?
