I have set a new personal record - over 1500 pictures shot in 3 days

Most were taken at two separate work social sporting events. Camera battery is now at 57% charge, both speedlight battery sets have been recharged for a second time today.

Sport and 9fps, lots of images to go through, culled down to approximately 300 shots so far

Pic's on my Flickr site (link below in signature).

I am using now my new Nikon D300s with the 70-300VR and the 6T close up lens.
I am very pleased with the quality of the glass combination.

Both photos are of a grevillea flower.

We've just returned from a week staying in the Keeper's Cottage at Smoky Cape Lighthouse...lots of weather and plenty of good subjects.

This has been my first real opportunity to play with the camera (Canon 450D with Tamron 18-250 lense) and spend sometime with RAW files in the virtual dark room:

    Very nice series Mahn.
It is something wrong with your PP
Have a look the sky in the 4th image and the second last in the sky and the sea.
I think that have to do when you rezise the images.

The Canon 450 is a very capable camera. I can see that a 300mm f/4 IS will be soon in your shopping list

    Thanks Arthur,

The sizing down hasn't done them any good.

The initial resizing was done with Irfan.

Then they were transferred to AULRO gallery and this doesn't lend itself to good reproduction either.

I might need to change this.

    Tooloom Falls

Went for a drive yesterday from Brisbane to Tooloom Falls via Rathdowney and Woodenbong, then back via Koreelah and Boonah.

Then stopped in at Koreelah Falls.

Mahn - - Great photos and thanks for posting them
( from a newly converted Canon enthusiast )

White D3 - - Tooloom Falls seems to be exactly as I remember it since my last visit there with the old Disco V8 back in 1997
Not many campsites at the falls from memory ?

    Cheer's .

No, not many. Toilets on site and a very nice spot. You'd want to keep an eye on kids and late night drunks though as there's a sheer 15m drop next to one row of sites.

Down side is it appears to be popular with trail bikers as they access the forestry from there.

Some nice shots there WhiteD3 you might want to check the horizon on a couple of them though.

one_iota - 6 is an epic shot shame about the quality though.
