Phil and ted travel cot - any one got one?

    Hi all

Does any one have a phil and ted traveller cot? We planning on taking our ten month old on a few trips, but are a bit tight on space in the camper for our normal travel cot. These phil and ted ones are quite a bit narrower and could work for us. Just curious to hear any comments on the cot or other ways of safely sleeping the little bloke in a camper (its an Ultimate)

    Cheers

We have a Phil and Teds pram and it's great, so i'm sure the cot would be.
What about sleeping him/her with you in bed? Don't the Ultimates have a king size bed?

Yep its got a king size but he is still a bit little to sleep with us, more in the chance he gets smothered under the doona or gets rolled on etc. We were thinkg about putting the cot on the bed with us as the bed is made up of 3 seperate mattress which just happen to be the same width as the Phil and Ted cot, so remove one matress and he can sleep in the cot seperated from us dangerous adults!

We had one of the Phil & Teds when our eldest daughter was 10 months. They are easy to set up/pull apart, and don't take up much space when packed.
We used it more as a play pen than a cot. She slept between us in the tent.
After she turned 1 we found we didn't need it and sold it. We also have a 10 month now, and we have been camping with her for 6 months and havn't found we needed one. However, the cots do what they are designed to do very well.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers, Martin

We have had one for about 12 months now. Compact, easy to set up, and bub likes it.
