WANTED camping families with smaller children

Hi, never thought I'd be looking for new mates on the net, but there you go.

Most of our pre children mates have dropped the ball when it comes to camping with children. The few who do camp with kids have slowed down or gone around Aus. And though I like my fourby club, the wife's not into driving around tracks for hours, or those big hills and the like so it can get a bit quite back at camp.

So I'm looking for families with young children to go camping with around SEQ.
Our kids are 2 and 4, male and female. We tend to average 2 to 3 weekends a month.
We don't necessarily go 4x4ing, just get away from Brisvegas and let the kids enjoy camping and time away from the TV.
My car is the daily driver, work car, and weekender so I'm not into giving it heaps, but don't mind a bit of a go. We'd prefer a 4x4 destination for camping.

We go anywhere really, State forrest, NP, or 4x4 park generally within a 3 hour radius of Brisbane. Beach or Bush. We don't mind a bit of a bush walk, bike ride, chucking a line in, or just fling a kite. We have a canoe for something different as well.

Don't hold strong religious or political beliefs. Aren't particularly one eyed over anything, but tell me if I am. Kind of subscribe to a moderate balanced view to life really.

So all a bit weird for me, and maybe a bit sad sac, but we are a bit over camping on our own.

Our next outing is 26/27 March, haven't decided yet, could well be Jenoen 4x4 park. If your doing nothing, drop a line, say hello, and lets go camping.

We're keen. We have a nearly 3 year old boy and like to camp as much as we can. Off road or on road we don't really care as long as it's away from crowds. We often take off on Friday and come back Sunday but happy to do one nighters. We take our 110 and not into wrecking it but happy to try some tracks if there's a great spot at the end.

Would be camping now if it wasn't for work.

Here's our boy offroading his Defender and Disco in the mud with our 110 in the background. I think he's slightly LR obsessed.

    Rgds,

    Andrew

    Hi
We fit into the same category as you and inside; the 110 is our only car, so while we want to do 4WDing it has to be within reason, and we have been looking for like minded people to go away with. Having landrovers as well is a bonus!
We have two daughters; 11 months and 2 1/2 years. We have just got back into camping and day trips etc. since our youngest turned 6 months, so would definitely be keen to join you.
    Thanks, Martin

    Hi
I have two boys 2 1/2 and 15 months and would love to take them camping.

We have the 110 which is the family car so don't want to do to much off roading in it. But as we went round Aus before the kids came along we do have a camper tailer and all the bits for camping

We live in Cleveland on the south side.

well it looks like we may have all stumbled onto something. I have been PM'd by a couple others as well.

I'm thinking it would be good to get a few meet and greet weekends organised. That way we can exchange contacts details and get to know each other, that sort of thing.
Maybe a little email group if people are happy with that. Then we can keep in touch with camping weekends and ideas. Doesn't matter if you can't make it, just good to be in the loop so to speak.

I have another date for you as well if Mar 26/27 doesn't work.

Apr 2,3 Booluumba Creek. It's actually a Gold Coast LR club event. I'm thinking you can come as a visitor for weekend if you are not a member.
Check out the club if you like, and we can still all meet as young families.

If I'm shouted down by higher powers for inviting non members.... well we can go elsewhere anyway.

Check out the link for the weekend.
