The waterproofing on my bloody expensive Kathmandu hiking tent is flaking off, probably due to lack of use. Does anybody know how to remove the existing waterproofing, and what to use to waterproof it again?

G'day Dave.
What do you thin it down with?
Cheers, B Dave
Whatever you sealastic of choice says is the clean up medium.
It could be turpentine, acetone, paint thinners or something propitiatory, make sure you test the material your going to do with the solvent first as it may react badly..
as for getting off the old waterproofing, Wire brush and detol?
I'd have to have a look at and play with it.
