We have had our 40L Engel for just on 10 years and it basically sits in my wifes car all the time (other than for trips away) where it is used for our shopping trips to our regional centre. Curse living out of town!
It has never missed a beat and can be expanded as others have pointed out by adding a twozone. Do I think it much better than the other brands? I really cannot tell! Is it reliable? Absolutley. Would I buy the same brand again? Yep!

I use the Evakool fibreglass 60 lt. Products - Evakool# $1300 roughly
Had it for about 2 years and it's permanantly in the car and on every day.
Has the ability to have one section frozen and the other refrigerated, comes with 2 baskets and a divider as standard.
Mine survived an 80kph roll over with a carton of stubbies in it, the strap that was holding it down snapped, so a few scratches but it was still running and hasn't missed a beat since.

I have one of the original evacool 60ltr fridges. Originally fitted with a magnetic drive compressor which they changed to the Danfoss in 2001. It is permanently running, has never stopped. Only issue was with the 240V/24v/12v power supplies. Had a few fail (all replaced no issue). Now run it on 24V if on mains, since then no failures of the external power supply. I have been happy with their service and product.
My Waeco has been running 24/7 for 3 years with no problems.
It does get unplugged for two weeks once a year.
One thing I looked at when buying the fridge, is how much power it is drawing from the battery.
You may want to consider this.

We bought a factory second Evakool, which came with cover + mains power, for around $500 a couple of years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. As mentioned below, it has a very low current draw (not that that matters much when you've got a fantastic Traxide set-up!).

+1 for Bushman, never had a problem with it and option to increase and decrease size depending on trip is great
Just took delivery of my Bushman and I have to say first impressions are great, very well built feels exceptionally solid and the versatility of the collars and different sized lids that come with it make it brilliant value and so flexible. The power cables and plugs all look very solid and high quality, Plugged it in to 240v and it cools down really fast, down to 0 in less than an hour, very easy controls etc.
Only things I can complain about is that the cover looks a little cheaply made and it has two cable ties on the back designed to hold the cable against the side of the unit, but these are a little flimsy and poorly attached, however these are pretty minor. The cover is just for protection of the paint etc, it isn't an insulator as this fridge doesn't need it, it is well insulated already and the Cale ties aren't really necessary either.
After looking at all the Engels and Weacos and ARB I am extremely happy with what you get with the Bushman for the price.
