Jet tent or Oz trail Cot?

Been looking at getting a Camp Cot style tent/swag and really like the OZ Tent Jet Bunker however the Oz trail looks similar but half the price. I have not seen an Oz trail one in the flesh yet anyone have any experience with these two brands? I have a RV 4 and really happy with that but just takes up too much room. The local camping shop has a oz trail one in stock but was reluctant to set one up for me as had no room to put it on display said he has sold heaps though. Have looked at the other two camp cot brands but have ruled them out due to there pack up size.

I have the Oztent RV1 and do agree they take up a lot of space.

have you considered other brands of stretcher swags or whatever people call them now?

Kulkyne have a few, personally I like the look of the 'original tent cot' and it comes in a double also. have seen these used as roof top tents over on the 4wd action forum (not a member there just stumbled across the threads, one about the OZtrail inparticular)

I'd give anything with the Oztent badge on it a miss.
You can buy a decent dome tent for less than the price of one Deluxe Side Panel for an Oztent. These Chinese made monstrosities are nowhere near the same quality as Australian made Freedom and Southern Cross touring tents and are marketed at lazy campers with too much disposable income and no understanding of what constitutes CANVAS.

I've got an Oztrail cot tent and use it quite a bit. It's pretty heavy at around 12kgs and it doesn't want to fit easily into its rather tight bag. I use a 50mm Roman single self inflating mattress in it. My overall rating for it is ok enough, better than a swag or a normal tent, goes up and down a lot quicker than a tent. I sit mine under my side awning. Still, it's not fantastic but it will do.
