Just ordered 2x2.5 roo systems. Think any over hang will become a problem on over head branches. I chose the roo as the hinges are alloy and it has the awning over hanging the edges however you can't put mozzie net or walls on where you can on the others.

Arguably the best awning on the market. I've researched the hell out of this before I made a purchase. This is the only one I could find which was proper canvas, heavy duty Aussie dynerproofed canvas.

Quite expensive at nearly $1000, but worth every penny. It's a wing type and it rolls up almost as small as a side awning. And no ropes needed. It's supapeg's rapid wing

    I like that one Spence.

Might have to think about one for the D4 if ever the Ironman one on there now gets damaged. Would be interested to know if I could attach the Ironman "room" under one of those. Doesn't look like it from your photos, but I reckon I could bodgy something up so that it would work.
    Cheers .........

I had a 2.5 long by 2.0 pull-out ridge ryder awning (supercheap) on my last 4by

was pretty happy with it work well and was of fairly good quality. However on the defender I am going with a foxwing as I wanted a side and rear awning and for a few $$ more I could get the foxwing which will do the side, rear and the corner in-between.

Yeah BMKal it's a beaut, rock solid. Any good canvas joint would be able to help you with the add on room. I'm going to Southern Cross canvas to get them to add on one wall.

You can get add-on walls from Supa-Peg (also trade as Supa-RV for on-line sales) (see Supa-Wing Accessories). Very happy with my Supa Wing (plus 3 walls).

I have had it out in every condition, Big wind, heavy rain etc the canvas is so thick it doesn't bother it at all. You can only add walls to the supa-wing, I have the rapid wing.
