Thread: What size awning?

I run and love my foxwing. Have so for 4yrs.

Can be a pain if the wind is gusty (need 2 ppl to set it up if windy). Make sure you double guy rope it with good quality pegs if it's windy.

I have a 2.5 wide and 2.0 deep on the 101. It is easy to put up and down with one person, and has plenty of room underneath it. That size will fit on a Disco easily if you have a roof rack on there already.

I've got a 2.5mtr wide that pulls out 2mtrs on a Disco 2. It uses the full length of the roof. It looks like it's overhanging the back in the photo, it isn't.

Plus I've got an Oztent RV5 which is also 2.5mtrs wide, this 'couples' upto the awning a treat.

Nice Bus. Think the D2 is a bit longer than the D1. Bit worried that it may catch on over hanging branches if it pokes out too far in the front. What about the pull out length Would 3m be too long?

I've got one of the el cheapo tigerz/roo systems awnings on my D1.
Went for 2m along the length of the car and pulls out 2.5m.
Its pretty good and doesn't overhang at either end.

I have an iron man awning, 2m along the d2, 2.5 out. It comes with a row of LED lights , very handy at night. Bob

Think I will go with the 2x2.5 tigers 11. Like the ARB but and TJM but nearly 4x the price. Quality prob not the same but not too heart breaking if it gets destroyed.

I run a roo systems 2m with 2.5m pull out. There on special 159 delivered at the moment.
