    The humble thermos

    I heard a cracker of an idea for the use of a thermos on the weekend. The chap told me he puts 2 or 3 hot dogs into a thermos and pours boiling water to fill. A few hot dog buns, tomato sauce and he has a track side gift from Allah.

    The lateral genius of some people never cease to amaze me. I've dusted off the thermos ready for the next 4wd day.

    Here I was thinking that it was an old trick. I remember picnics with my grandparents when I was young and we did that! A good idea either way.

    Hot dogs aren't gourmet enough for me these days. I think I'm getting snobby with food.

    Beef schnitzel soaked in gravy in a wide mouth Thermos

    Before we got married, the gf would do things like stuffed capsicums, egg & bacon pie etc for camping. after we got married, no more camping & sell the mini moke,

    Anyhow, I think I would like in my thermos slices of rare eye fillet, soaking in my favorite gravy, based on jw bl & premium port.
