Not sure if its been posted before but found this great for privately owned properties that the owners let for camping.

There certainly are some amazing places out there.
I have a sticker for this site to go on the car or van at some point. I found it through FB.

When I read the post title it reminded me of when I rode a mountain bike around Europe in 1993. My standard method was ride and at the end of the day look out for a farmer in the fields or on his tractor and then ask if I could stay a night in my tent. I found that in the uk I was only knocked back about three times over four months. Most farmers were keen to show me their favourite spot and then invite me back to the house to meet the family. More often than not I also got a chance to use the shower and then a meal. France want nit quite so good but at least I did French at school so I had about a 50 percent success rate and then Germany and Austria were really successful. Cut down my outlays on youth hostels and I met many nice families. Shame that nowadays with insurances everyone has to charge when I see that link.

    Youcamp.com

Has anyone used/been involved with https://www.youcamp.com/ It seems pretty cool, worth a look if your looking for a campsite that may not be so 'popular'. I haven't used it yet, just stumbled upon it this morning while browsing the www.

    I like the idea.

Just had a quick look around Western Vic and there's one place that wants $50 to pull in with a van or pitch a tent - without any facilities...

But there are plenty of places for $0 to $10 a night.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
