    Good thread...I know this is a little off topic but I came across this site the other day http://scitoys.com/ and it looks like it will appeal to the older child/young at heart. I don't know about Oz but here in the Uk you need a fishing licence to fish most places inland and now the government want to impose licences on coastal/sea fishing....If it's fun they tax it...Now they want to build an extra 2 to 3 million homes so there won't be any where left to have fun in the country side.... You lucky buggers....

    We are in Werribee and always looking for simple easy to get to overnight places for one night campouts with our kids who bore easily!
    Great ideas! never thought of half of them!

    Just remembered another one. We went away with friends who have three girls (this is before we had our own) and they had a couple of those cheap uhf walkie-talkies. Kids loved hiding around the campsite area and being silly on the radios....Chris.
