A good veggie soup normally goes down well with me and a nice hot chocy drink.

curried snags with mash potatoe and a good scotch
I reckon you can't beat a good shank casserole. Use either lamb shanks or if out hunting and get lucky goat shanks work a treat.
In the camp oven with some carrots spuds onions and a little red wine. herbs like garlic, thyme and some chilli flakes. When nearly done a packet of suprise peas.
Served up with a big crusty loaf of bread to mop up the gravy. Not that puts some warmth on the ribs. Washed down with a beer or two or a nice red, whatever is your fancy.

A good homemade Steak and Kidney Stew (you can delete the kidneys if you dont like) made in a big pot that will do about 3 or 4 meals, after the first or second meal take some out put in a Vac-Seal pack and freeze, take when you go camping and simply put in pot of boiling water to heat up (use the hot water for washing up), snip the Vac-Seal pack amd serve on a plate or bowl with some fresh made bread/damper and lots of butter, Yum, Regards Frank.
Not really camp fodder, but:
Bavarian Bier Cafe
Roasted pork belly on red cabbage, with kransky and pork sausage on sauerkraut and sebago mash, along with a stein of freshly brewed, icy cold proper german bier.
There is nothing better on a cold winters night. Well, I can think of one better thing...
