Where can you get those ones Baz? I had one about 5 years ago and I don't think I ever got to use it correctly so I've been looking for one since to try again.

Except when it comes to coffee makers. Anyone who is on the CoffeeSnobs forum www.coffessnobs.com.au will know how wrong Choice are. See CoffeeSnobs - Choice tests of Espresso machines Febraury 2008

However, in the Choice review of the Mukka, they said:

Overall, the Mukka Express can’t really be recommended for anyone who likes a true café style coffee.
See CHOICE - Review: Bialetti Mukka Express Cappuccino Maker

Then there is the CoffeeGeek reviews: (There are three reviews you can read here): CoffeeGeek - Bialetti Mukka Stovetop Cappuccino

I'll have to try Baz and Kerrie's unit to make up my own mind!

    Resurecting an old thread (again)...

I found out today I can get a Mukka very cheap (free) if I want it.

How are people going with them that have had them for a year now?

Is it worth getting or am I going to be passing it on to someone else?

    I have one of these.

    Aerobie® AeroPress(TM) Coffee & Espresso Maker

I wouldn't make my coffee any other way now. Had it for a couple of years.

Hi Derek, we haven't used ours all that much lately, it isn't frothing the milk as well as it used too, we have gone back to using our other one when camping.

Can't hurt to try it though, after all it's free.

I'd grab it and see what you think. you can always pass it on later!
I've found that the little jet needs to be cleaned from time to time, and sometimes you need to hold down the top button for 30 secs after it first pops up, then release it. use it on a fairly high flame too.
Mostly it works a charm.....nothing like a cappachino when you are "roughing it"!!

the pressure valve is known to go. You need to buy replacements regularly.

And Me to for the aero press.... Awesome bit of gear. Just bought a 2nd one for a friend who uses a plunger when on trips.... That will change v quickly when he tries the aero press.

Thanks I think I'll get the Mukka and see how it goes.

AeroPress looks like a cheap gadget. It would be one of those things I'd just pass by. Always nice to here of someone using one and finding it to be good. Only downside I can see is it uses filter papers.
